Research on the acquisition of professional skills in the ‘School Internship’ module

Project description

The eduPLUS project investigates the acquisition of professional skills by students in the ‘Specialised Internship’ module. This module consists of two teaching components: (a) the preparatory seminar, which is offered during the semester as a two-hour course, and (b) the block internship, in which students spend five weeks observing and teaching in schools. The preparatory seminar is conducted according to the SCRUM concept, in which students work in small groups in short cycles of three seminar sessions to develop a lesson plan and present it to the other groups for critical discussion. The students' level of competence is assessed at three points in time (before the start of the preparatory seminar, between the preparatory seminar and the block internship, and after the block internship).
