LernMINT - data-based teaching in the STEM subjects

Project description

LernMINT is a research training group funded by the Ministry of Science and Culture Lower Saxony in the period 2019 - 2024.
The overall goal of LernMINT is to explore the opportunities, limitations and risks of data-driven teaching and learning in STEM subjects in schools and universities in the areas of didactics, learning analytics and data protection. The project homepage can be found here.
Two projects from LernMINT are being researched by doctoral students from the Physics Education group.

In Tom Bleckmann's project, machine learning methods will be used to assess data in the form of texts to record individual learning levels, thus supporting teachers and learners in the teaching-learning process.

André Meyer's project investigates how the self-directed learning of students can be supported in the best possible way with the help of adaptive elements and feedback within the framework of a digital learning environment for problem solving in physics.
